Here at Allure, our personal space became research labs as we put hundreds of beauty products to the test for this year's Best of Beauty Awards. At the end of our days swiping and swatching, there were a few items that also helped transform the space or, at the very least, signal the switch off from work to relaxation mode.

Over the past year, there may not have been a more essential personal-care product in our homes than hand soap. Even though the purpose is to clear away germs and keep them at bay, we can still enjoy a sensorial experience while we wash.
